The mood looks back to late-’90s rave house, with a touch of Ibiza nightlife in its frame of reference. It’s a connection to a particular period of club music, though the live-recorded approach gives the project its own point of departure.
BEFORE MIDI brings together DJ and producer Viziale and multidisciplinary composer Barabbah. Their work on Invaders places the recorded performance alongside the decisions made afterwards, as the material is reshaped for the booth.
