Belgian producer Nico Morano unveils his new single, ‘Sun Sun Sun’, releasing on Friday 25th October via his record label Ontourage Music.
The single follows a jam-packed summer for Morano, playing a lot of different corners in the world. Tracks like ‘JUNO LOVE’ & Gorje Hewek’s remix of his track ‘EVERYTHING I OWN’ received regular support from leading trio Keinemusik (Rampa, Adam Port, &Me), and in July, Nico performed to 15,000 ravers at Tomorrowland (Watch HERE).
The energising and euphoric ‘Sun Sun Sun’, much like Morano himself, cuts through a gloomy Autumn like a hopeful ray of sunshine. A vibrant tribute to the sun and Morano’s love for the colour yellow, this track is a celebration of light, warmth, and positivity, reflecting the final glimmers of summer through his signature warm melodic house sound.
“Everybody knows me as the ‘yellow man’. So there is already a connection to my admiration of everything in this beautiful colour.”Nico Morano explains. “How did this track come to life? In July I finished the instrumental version of ‘Sun Sun Sun’ and left on tour to India. I was inspired by Surya, the God of the Sun. So I decided to make a tribute to our most important planet. I wrote the lyrics and found the vox and 3 hours later, it was arranged into the track. Thank you Surya for the inspiration.”
On ‘Sun Sun Sun’, a driving afro house rhythm marches under uplifting melodies, piano and shimmering synths. The spoken word offerings empower listeners, using the Sun as a symbol of resilience and hope. The words add extra gravitas to the track and encourage listeners to embrace their inner power, face difficulties with determination, and be a source of warmth and inspiration for others.
Nico Morano has been a mainstay in melodic house circles for over two decades, championing a sound that blends harmonic melodies with organic, progressive vibes, often infused with Italo and deep house elements. He’s a regular at festivals like Tomorrowland and Paradise City, where he hosts his ‘Nico Morano & Friends’ stage. In 2018, he achieved international success with ‘Desire’ on Eelke Kleijn’s label, amassing millions of streams. His 2023 debut album, ‘Opposite Minds’, received critical acclaim and was performed in a hybrid live show featuring live instrumentation and vocalist and regular collaborator Mewhy.
In 2020, Nico launched “Ontourage”, being an umbrella brand for his own events, clothing line and record label. The first releases mainly focussed on Morano original tracks & remixes from his close entourage in the music industry. Notable releases on the label include ‘Juno Love’ and Patrice Bäumel’s remix of his track ‘Flammes’ ft. DONAMARIA. But since August, Ontourage showcased music by other artists for the first time, releasing the incredible ‘Ontourage Summer 2024 V/A’, a seven-track compilation featuring road-tested tracks by West & Hill, Asphere, Several Definitions, Luigi La Hara, and others.
‘Sun Sun Sun’ is the 10th release on the label and is made for emotional dancefloor moments. It’s a reminder of how, through hypnotic beats, stunning melodies and profound vocals, dance music can inspire us to connect with others and find power within ourselves.
