MIKOLAS, one of the Czech Republic’s most streamed artists, is set to embark on a new musical journey with the release of his latest single, “SAMBA.” This track marks the inaugural release from his highly anticipated second studio album, “II.” In conjunction with this launch, MIKOLAS has announced a return performance at the Lucerna Great Hall, which boasts a capacity of 2,500 and sold out in just over seven minutes.

Expressing his sentiments, MIKOLAS stated, “I am both humbled and excited. It’s a significant responsibility towards my fans, and I am confident they will enjoy a remarkable show. I can hardly wait.”

Following the remarkable success of his debut album, “ONE,” which achieved triple platinum status (source: IFPI, released March 22, 2024) and has recently surpassed 120 million streams on Spotify, “SAMBA” provides fans with a glimpse into the darker and more intense persona of MIKOLAS.

To commemorate this release, MIKOLAS hosted an extravagant VIP launch party on April 24 in Prague—his first fan-centric live event in several years. Fans were granted complimentary access by registering through his fan portal at www.mikolas.com.

Announced merely a week prior, the event featured live performances of MIKOLAS’s greatest hits, the live premiere of “SAMBA,” exclusive merchandise, complimentary drinks for attendees, and a personal meet-and-greet for the first 100 fans.

In a further surprise, MIKOLAS introduced his own magazine, “EMPIRE,” during the release week. Written in a personal diary format, the magazine offers fans an intimate glimpse into his life and creative journey.

“I aimed to establish a unique, unfiltered connection between myself and those who accompany me on this extraordinary journey. I truly enjoy it,” he remarked.

The magazine includes a detailed personal account of the album’s creation and the development of “SAMBA.” MIKOLAS candidly discusses his challenges on the path back to Eurovision, revealing that both “SAMBA” and “DELILAH” were contenders for a return to the Eurovision stage. He elaborates on the meaning behind “SAMBA,” addresses fan questions regarding confidence, creativity, and the realities of pursuing one’s dreams. He dedicates the inaugural issue to Parketa, his late tour manager, and Anna Slováčková, a friend and fellow artist, both of whom passed away recently.

“EMPIRE” invites readers into MIKOLAS’s mind, providing a rare and intimate perspective on his life and creative process. The magazine is available through the fan portal on his website.

Additionally, the single carries a meaningful social message, as MIKOLAS dedicates “SAMBA” to single parents. Reflecting on a personal story of single parenthood within his family shared in “EMPIRE,” he stated, “It opened my eyes to the very real struggles faced by single parents. This is not just a side story—it is prevalent everywhere and deserves recognition.”

His sophomore album, “II,” is anticipated to be released later this year.
