Mancunian man-of-the-moment Josh Baker lands on Three Six Zero for a second time, with ‘Misleading’ played out all summer including Creamfields, Circoloco and Ushuaia
DJ, music producer, label and event owner Josh Baker returns to Three Six Zero Recordings with his new single, ‘Misleading’ out on 8th November.
This has been Baker’s most sought-after ID worldwide this year. It’s his second release on TSZR, following the breakout success of June’s ‘Something To Me’ (3M+ Spotify streams, 100K+ views & 4,000 TikTok creations).
The new single ‘Misleading’, featuring neo-soul singer Bianca Nieddu, slots neatly into Baker’s sleazy signature style, rolling drum machine drums, floating synth stabs and a girthy bassline. It all culminates in a subtle, elegantly executed ear pricker in the rave.
“Misleading came about when myself and Bianca got in the studio mid 2023 for our first ever session.”Josh Baker explains. “Since then I progressed the track to be a staple of my sets and signifying my sound.”
2024 has been a defining year for Josh. A real force behind the decks, playing landmark club and festival shows, including a standout set to over 35,000 fans at Creamfields festival. He delivered a dazzling debut show for Circoloco at DC-10, which followed a supporting set for Michael Bibi at his One Life show at Ushuaïa Ibiza. In a massive coming together, Josh also recently went back-to-back for the first time with Chris Stussy and Enzo Siragusa at Circus Liverpool and Warehouse Project Manchester respectively.
Despite making a name for himself this year, Manchester’s Josh Baker is no overnight success and has crafted his own direction as an artist over the space of ten years, taking a multifaceted approach to music as an artist and business owner. He’s the founder and face of the now internationally celebrated You&Me record label and party series, the curator of the coveted Hide&Seek Festival and founder of Syntho, an online education platform for budding music producers to learn, grow and connect. He also runs a YouTube series documenting his travels, a podcast and running club, making him not just a force in the studio and on stage, but behind the scenes as well.
‘Misleading’, out November 8th, is another absolute heater from Josh Baker, who’s certifying himself as an essential artist to watch moving into 2025.
