Originally released as a heartfelt tribute to Fiona’s late grandfather and featuring the evocative vocals of LOV, “Dreams” resonated with listeners through its vulnerability, warmth, and emotional depth. Now, Rocco brings his unmistakable touch to the record, preserving it’s intimate soul while introducing a heavier groove and hypnotic late-night energy.
Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the French deep and soulful house music scene, Rocco Rodamaal has spent decades shaping dancefloors worldwide. His remix of “Dreams” is built around rolling drums, deep basslines, and atmospheric textures, the remix unfolds with patience and purpose. LOV’s haunting vocal remains at the heart of the track, while Rocco’s production elevates it into a powerful club record.
Recognised as a prolific DJ for over 20 years, Rocco’s career started in small underground Techno influenced clubs in Lyons, France, where he learned his trade alongside DJs like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Louie Vega and DJ Deep. Over the years Rocco has developed a huge following in South Africa, where it is not rare to see him perform in stadiums in front of 30,000-strong crowds. And it was on a South African label that Rocco released in 2013 his ‘The Bridge’ album, bridging indeed the gap between Europe, South Africa and the US and featuring collaborations between the French producer and artists and vocalists from South Africa and the US.
